The season of Lent is a period of 40 days before Easter. It is a time of personal self-reflection and thinking about Jesus’ journey to the cross. Ash Wednesday is the traditional beginning of Lent. On Wednesday, March 5, we will observe this holy day with a service that begins at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The service will include the imposition of ashes on our foreheads ’s (burned from last year’s Palm Sunday branches) as a sign of our mortality and repentance.
