Leader: For it is God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts
People: to give light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Leader: Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.
People: That He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths.
Opening Prayer (Unison) – O Lord our God, you are always more than ready to bestow your good gifts on us than we are to seek them, and you are far more willing to give more than we deserve. Help us to seek so that we may truly find, to ask so that we may joyfully receive, to knock so that the door of your mercy may be open to us; through the grace of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
